November 7th 5:30-930
At Union Street the Grotto side.
Vanessa Marshak will keep you mesmerized with her stage presence, songwriting and a voice echoing the great folk singers of the past 60 years. Her musical styling’s are inspired by great artists such as; John Prine, Bonnie Rait, Emmy Lou Harris, Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch. Going to North Island College and working full-time keeps Vanessa’s appearances to a minimum, but she is very excited about hitting the stage at the Union Street Grill, (a well known favorite venue for her…) for the Toast experience. Come raise a glass with her! Let’s Toast!
More about the Comox Valley Farmers market fundraiser
All proceeds raised will go the New Farmer bursary fund
Our bursary helps new farmers with the early season expenses – such as seeds, repairs/purchase of equipment when they often have no farm income coming in, it also includes a membership to the market for the coming season.
The Comox Valley Farmers’ Market continues to thrive and is one of the few markets in British Columbia to have only food or agricultural products. Starting October 25th we will be at the Native Son’s Hall every Saturday from 9-12 until Dec 20 – we’ll be closed the 27th and Jan 3rd and re-open on the 10th of January 2015.
