The city of Courtenay will be hosting another WinterFest this year to encourage us to get out to enjoy the winter season and shop locally. WinterFest is a seasonal celebration offering entertainment, kids programming, dining experiences, craft fairs, markets, art gallery exhibits, and the Comox Valley Christmas Parade. Last year’s entertainment included carollers, choirs, dancers, street performers, and a great concert series. The Sid Williams theatre even had Matthew Good perform. Local businesses get involved by hosting performances, decorating their windows, and extending their hours. This year WinterFest will kick off on November 21st 2014 with a dazzling two days of Moonlight & Magic, and the always popular Christmas Parade will be on Sunday November 23rd. Young or old, there is something for everyone at WinterFest!
Moonlight and Magic
Friday November 21, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday November 22, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Comox Valley Christmas Parade
Sunday November 23, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
While you’re out enjoying the shopping, entertainment and winter festivities, why not come in from the cold and treat yourself to some delicious seasonal fare, or warm up with a drink at the Union Street Grill & Grotto! We are also looking forward to a third year of making the Grotto available as a venue for the WinterFest concert series. Last year we had some incredible live music!
